This uses a 15kW Ytterbium stabilized laser with a welding head. The system has a nominal weld envelope of 312 inches long, 66 inches wide, and 48 inches tall.
It is capable of automated precision welding and laser melting of long, contoured, and complex surfaces. The system can weld joint thicknesses between 0.020 inches and 0.50+ inches for Titanium or 1.00+ inches for Aluminum.
